Table Talk

Let’s talk tablescaping

Yes, that’s right, a fancy word for decorating your table. I’ll be sharing with you my OGs of the tablescaping world to companies that offer curated collections and rentals. With the trend of tablescaping on the rise, there is always a way to make an intimate dinner party feel that little more special.

Alice Naylor-Leyland

The OG of tablescaping, Alice Naylor-Leyland launched her own brand in 2019 after her glorious table settings went viral on Instagram.

She now sells entire tablescape sets, so with the click of a button you can get a whole look delivered to your door.

Liberty

A great way to design your table is with a theme in mind. Liberty are fantastic at this and my favourite schemes at the moment are Floral Fantasia, Cool Tones and Bring the Outside in. Once you find the theme that speaks to you, you can then shop the set from the comfort of your home.

Maison Margaux

Another legend in the tablescaping world is Maison Margaux and excitingly they are now offering rental on some of their table sets. This is a great way to cut down on costs and save on space. So, for those that want to dazzle and delight their guests with different table sets this is the perfect solution.

Dutchess & Butler

Dutchess & Butler have a carefully curated collection of products and since 2015 have quietly been offering rental packages to homeowners who want to take the hassle out of hosting. They offer a mix and match package at £30 per person which include pretty much everything you need apart from the flowers.

Vintage

If you’re looking for something a bit more personal and unique I would recommend going vintage. If there’s one thing that won’t let you down at a vintage fair it is ceramics and glassware. You will most likely stumble across and fall in love with a vase or water jug or vintage plate or if you’re lucky a whole dinner set. You can usually pick up these items for really good prices as well.
